Who we are

EGON is published by Norman Niati (France). For anything related to your data, write to contact@egonapp.com.

What we collect

Apple Health

With your permission, EGON reads your step count and active energy from Apple Health to show your daily activity. Those two stay on your device and are never uploaded. Heart rate is different: if you wore a watch, the average for that workout is stored with the session so it appears in your own history. It is shown to other people only if you turn on Share heart rate, which is off until you turn it on, and which you can turn off again at any time.

Where your data lives

Your account and training data are stored with Supabase in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). Exercise demonstration videos are delivered through Cloudflare's CDN, which involves no personal data beyond standard connection logs.

Third-party services

Two technical services run inside the app. TelemetryDeck counts anonymous usage (which screens are opened, whether a workout was finished) and Sentry collects crash reports. Neither receives your name, email, or training content, and neither is used for advertising. Contacts: if you look for people you know, the app sends one-way hashes of your contacts, compares them, and keeps nothing.

What we don't do

How long we keep your data

For as long as your account exists. Delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Settings → Delete account) and your account, training data and photos are erased permanently and immediately. You can also email us and we'll do it for you.

Your rights (GDPR)

You can request access to, rectification, erasure or portability of your personal data, or object to its processing, by writing to contact@egonapp.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL).

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date.
